Too young for AARP or just right?

When I turned 50, I paid my $16 to join AARP. My 39 yr old husband said "Why, did you do that ?" I said I wanted to get the hotel discounts and other discounts. Not that I'm going any where or buying anything much these days. The other reason is that I always like reading the articles in the AARP magazine at my therapist's office.

My first AARP magazine came today with Dustin Hoffman on the cover dressed like a character in those "Matrix" movies..spikey hair, black high collared outfit. 75 years old of Hotness. oh, I cried during "Kramer vs Kramer".

Every article in that thing is pertinent to my life right now and basically I can't wait to take a long bath and read it cover to cover.

Funny, I don't feel that old. Well, my knees do.

I am feeling very anxious and vulnerable this week and have used my friend/foe- food. Hoping for a better tomorrow

  2. The AARP isn't just for 70-year-olds anymore. ;)
