It's coldish, barely 8:42 am on Saturday morning, and I'm barefoot. I'm marveling that I had a dream that involved me making healthy food choices--
-it really stood out and is not something I dream often.
I want Java , but first -the kids.
I walk towards the sliding glass door to let the dogs and the cat out.
No one is interested in going outside. All eyes are on me.
Lillie stares at me and shifts her weight from side to side, waiting by her food bowl.
Yella Kitty jumps up on to the table where his food bowl sits and paces and sticks his nose up for me to rub. Waiting.
Angel looks confused but expectant and wags her tail, waiting.
Staring eyes, breath held, waiting to see ........
I wonder if my husband fed them this morning before he left for work?
A note written on a paper towel placed over the dog food container:
"they've been fed"
Ha !! Sorry kiddoes. I'm not your sucker this morning! You've had breakfast!
All animals thinking "NOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

We keep dry food out for our cats all day but only give them wet food once a day. It seems to be working out. We have one of those automatic dry feeders.
ReplyDeleteI taggged you in my post today. :)
ReplyDeleteTHAT is hilarious. Good thing your husband has their number and left you a note. My dogs do that to me, and sometimes I worry about getting just a little older and I won't remember that I fed them and will feed them twice!
