Kicked ARSE at gym doing Body Combat tonight.
I'm not perfect. I miss kicks and punches and get out of order sometimes. I do the moves lower impact to protect the knees and hips. But I'm sweating like crazy. I'm hanging in there. I'm probably at 60-70% accuracy. That's ok, I'm probably the oldest or one of the oldest in the group and one of the biggest. That makes me proud too. We finished a particularly hard segment and we were all looking at each other like "Can you believe we got through that?" We scream and yell and sing.
I could never have done this at my starting wt 345 or 275. I was probably too intimidated to join this gym then. And now I don't hide or stick myself in the back of the classroom or away from the windows. I get on the side of the class that is visible to the folks in the workout area and in the waiting area for the classroom. I don't give a damn that my butt is probably the biggest , that my push ups are less than perfect, or that I sometimes put my knees down during plank. I just do it. Being 'out there' about it helps me to try harder. Meanwhile, I use visualization of punching at the fat cells or sometimes punching at the problem of the oil spill mess in the Gulf.
If you don't have something in your life that gets you moving and is really FUN then , FIND IT!!
Get more bang for your buck. Do something you don't think you can do.
That's when you see progress.
JUST DO IT!

Good for you! I was never coordinated enough to do anything like this, but do love taking group classes. It is much more motivating for me than working out alone.
