Dance Your A** Off
Adamme and Brianna my favorites.
I don't see a whole lot in blog world about this show, but I really love it. I don't watch any of the other dance shows-this is it for me. I record it with our DVR and watch it during lunch. I like to rewind and watch the dances after the judges comment to see if I can see what they are talking about. Sometimes I re watch them , because they are just so good and so much fun . Since I'm in love with Zumba class it particularly amazes me.
Add to that it's a weight loss show with some exercise, nutrition, and and drama thrown in . I enjoy watching the contestants work at weight loss and dance at the same time. But, it is sickening and strangely comforting to see the amounts of weight loss versus the amount of exercise , diet, dance practice these people are putting in . Sickening because they are working so hard and yet the body and weight loss are still mysterious. Comforting because the body and weight loss are mysterious and it makes my results versus my efforts make sense.
If they are doing all of this and only lose 1.1 lbs in a week then no wonder I'm doing what I'm doing. But this week was "the wall" week for many of the contestants, and they all average much higher usually.
I have no doubt that it's scripted, filmed to tell a story or focus on competitiveness, and that we are not seeing everything. It's cool to see the clothes which I would NEVEH EVAH wear! And , I hate seeing the bad press about the "fat people dancing show". It takes guts! and talent.
I have a big crush on Danny Teeson one of the judges and Lisa Ann Walter the creator of the show is a funny and like a big sis to the contestants. This is season 2 and Mel B of the Spice Girls is the host-I heart Spice Girls . It's light entertainment and it's inspiring.
