120lbs Lost! New Focus


Wow!!! I HIT A MILESTONE. I did not expect to have lost this much weight this week as I've only been following this new plan for 3 days, but I guess all the exercise, sweating, effort just reacted like crazy to the new plan. When I started this journey I weighed my highest 345.

My wt loss since Monday is 5 lbs which is special to me because it's been a looong time since I've lost this much in a week and I'm at 224.8. I haven't been 224 since I was a teenager. AND I CAN ACTUALLY FEEL IT! I almost lost a pair of shorts while exercising. WOO HOO!

I introduced you to my new food plan , but wanted to mention my new focus or goals.

For July it is just to Focus. When ever I get off track, want to make a change in the food plan, want to act compulsively about food or getting on the computer, whenever I read a blog that makes me question myself or gives me new ideas that are opposite what I've held...anything...I tell my self FOCUS. Just look at what you are doing. Those one word things help inspire me.

I've become TOO plugged in to the internet. I see the immediate gratification of looking up info, checking my home email, looking at blogs has crept up on me and made me dizzy. I work at home and need to work for my company and only do the surf thing ( on my home computer ) at before and after work and maybe once at lunch. I 'm not in trouble at work, but I realized how UN focused I am with work. Better I fix it for me before they do. I just realize that I'm not working with integrity when I stop to look up things or shoot an email to a friend or check for responses to a post. I had to create a FOCUS sign to put on the home computer to remind me.

FOCUS for my intentions, FOCUS to get to my weight loss / health goals, FOCUS to see results.

That's it my only Goal. FOCUS. It applies to everything. Exercise, Wt Loss, What my body needs to recover from intense workouts, drinking liquids, Working efficiently.
Not tripping when walking down stairs.. it all needs focus or I'll either blow it or just coast along without success.

So far so good.

Coffee today : Millstone Hazelnut and cream..yum
Workout for tonight: bodypump and zumba

  2. Congratulations on your milestone! Great stuff. I totally agree on focus, especially the internet part. It's easy to grow too dependent upon the "instant" of the internet.

  3. Wooo-hoo! Congrats! Down to a teenage weight; that is a milestone!

    I totally understand about the Internet addiction. That is one good thing about the office where I work, I can do a little surfing for "news", but I can't check personal email or blogs, because Big Brother watches. I'm good with that. Otherwise, I'd be toast.

    FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS. OK, I need to do that, too. I see where you're going with it.

    I LOVE one word goals. Yours is FOCUS. Mine is CONSISTENCY. So I need to focus on consistency, ha ha ha ha !
